Using cyclodextrin in cancer therapy is certainly a novel, yet emerging area, pioneered by Kumamoto University, JAPAN – Keiichi Motoyama and Hidetoshi Arima. In this invention, folate-appended CDs are used to improve specificity via cell targeting.
